CAFE-BIO doctoral network funded by the EU

We are delighted that the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network CAFE-BIO — “A Coherent Analysis Framework for Emergence in Biological Systems” — has been selected for funding by the European Union (grant no. 101226762).

The network brings together twelve European academic institutions to train a new generation of doctoral researchers at the interface of physics and biology, with our group leading a subproject on the statistical physics of proliferating multicellular systems.

Our warm thanks go to Richard Blythe (University of Edinburgh), the network’s main coordinator, and to all the principal investigators across the consortium whose joint effort over many months made this proposal a success.
